Course 4700 Special Event: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)

In this hands-on Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course, offered by Learning Tree USA, a SCHEV-certified school, we introduce key concepts in modern AI and how they apply to individuals and businesses. Participants will gain practical exposure to AI technologies while developing an understanding of how these tools function and the challenges affecting their adoption.

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Training Outline

Module 1: What is Artificial Intelligence?

In this module, we will define artificial intelligence, the different terms, and technologies available within AI, and discuss some of the constraints and limitations to those technologies.

Objectives:

• What are the different terms the fall under Artificial Intelligence, and what do they mean to me?
• How should we define “intelligence”?
• What technology is available with AI?

Module 2: Machines that learn

How do machines make these fast, accurate, consistent decisions?

Objectives:

• What is machine learning?
• How can these technologies benefit an organization?
• Best practices associated with machine learning
• How can you tell if a machine learning model is effective?

Module 3: Exploring Generative AI and ChatGPT

In this module, we delve into the realm of generative AI and its applications, focusing on the powerful tool known as ChatGPT.

• Understand the limitations and ethical considerations associated with generative AI technology.
• Identify alternative generative AI tools and approaches available in the market.
• Explore the versatility of generative AI by leveraging it to create both textual content and images.

Module 4: Protecting AI Systems

In this module, we discuss the dangers of AI and how to keep yourself, and your organization, safe while using these tools.

Module 5: AI, society, and ethics

What happens when we delegate decision-making to the machines?

• What types of biases drive from AI systems, and how can we mitigate those?
• How does a business ensure they are being ethical while using AI?
• What impact does AI have on society, and how do you navigate these impacts in a business context?

Module 6: The future of AI

In this module, we sketch various AI-fueled scenarios, and consider how likely they are to come to fruition.
